PEAT is an acronym for Prime Energy Activation and Transcendence, a term invented by Zivorad Slavinski, a Serbian psychologist. My personal contact with him came in 2005 when he spent a week with me and my horse rescue volunteers in Conifer, Colorado, teaching us and other attendees the basics of the PEAT processes. Those that seem most useful to me are described here. I am deeply thankful to “Zivo” for all he shared with us and have been using PEAT ever since.
The underpinning of PEAT is the idea that we “put on skin to walk the red earth,” as Native Americans say, carrying with us the two dualistic karmic polarities that run our life unless we process them out of our state of being and thus find liberation. Polarities in humans are innumerable and are referred to in other spiritual teachings as dualisms or opposites.
Basic PEAT (BP) is process that clears the issue of the moment as it comes up and uses tapping and pressure points. It is also used for flashbacks that bring up an issue into the present. It may also be used for long-standing issues. This is sometimes referred to as “shallow” PEAT, but that world has negative connotations and the process itself is not shallow, so I use the word basic instead. The processor guides the client in the beginning when the process is introduced and learned. A shortcut version that I’ve developed over the years I call Quick PEAT as it can be self-administered, and is separately described as the last process in this PEAT section of the book.
The Deep PEAT (DP) process works to discover what one’s polarities are in a mind-diving session that roto-rooters the unconscious to bring up the polarities. The goal is to neutralize them so they clear from the person’s energetic field. These are issues of long-standing.
Deep PEAT 2 (DP2) was developed to process people who are resistant to Deep PEAT (DP) for whatever reason, or for clients who have depression, or with clients who are deeply intellectual and cannot separate thoughts from emotions. More on this later.
Deep PEAT 3 (DP3) is used for processing polarities that already exist, or those not completely cleared with Deep PEAT. It is not unusual polarities to linger, needing further processing. DP3 works as a backup to DP.
Deep PEAT 4 (DP4) works with the pressing challenge or issue in the present moment, in the here and now, toggling back and forth between the issue and the now. In that sense, it is similar to Quick PEAT (QP) but is not often self-administered.
Fingertip Technique takes a traumatic moment or image and dis-creates it using body movements and other therapeutic support.
Entity Handling dis-creates a presence that has attached itself to a person’s being, either as an imagined shape, felt sensation or imagined being, or an image of a persistent nature. The entity is birthed into the world and given form, acknowledged, and then given the opportunity to leave. It is dis-created through defining it and dialoging with it.
Verbal Reduction and Expansion (VRE) is well-suited for an issue that needs clear, itemized thought and analysis and is ideal for people who like to talk. It is not rambling talk. It is controlled and productive and guided every step of the way by the processor.
The Hologram analyzes an issue from the viewpoint of the client and all the contributors, sustainers and supporters of the challenge. The dialog is two-way between client and the selected contributor, sustainer or supporter. They then dialog back to the client via the client taking their positions. This is back-and-forth role playing at its deepest and most engaging. The contributors to the challenge can be people, books, ideas, events - anything that adds to the issue.
Quick PEAT (QP)
Quick PEAT can be self-administered once the client has learned the steps from the processor and becomes comfortable with self-administering it. QP works best for current issues, whatever comes up in the here and now that irritates and causes resistance. It is a quick and efficient routine to dis-create the nagging “issue du jour” that just won’t go away. This is sometimes referred to in popular parlance as taming the monkey mind.
These processes all calibrate in the 300-400+ range on the Map of Consciousness, according to my personal calibration. Anything over 200 calibrates at the level of integrity and higher. You are welcome to muscle test them yourself if you are familiar with kinesiology.
